Overview

Sail the pirate-way on a Leãozinho, a brilliant replica of a pirate cruise ship with sails, on the Atlantic and discover some beautiful spots along the Algarvian coast. Find yourself a comfortable seat along the mid-deck and enjoy endless views of the ocean as the ship heads westwards. Feel the wind on your face as you sail along the cliffs and the pristine sandy beaches of San Rafael and Castelo.

Look-out for a string of quaint fisherman’s villages as you glide past them. You will have some leisure time to hone your angling skills, take a refreshing dip or explore the caves. Treat yourself to a drink from the Pirate Bar and stretch on the deck to soak up the sun. On your return, keep an eye out for the dolphins who might just trail your boat!

Itinerary

The tour starts from Albufeira Marina in the city of Albufeira. Board Leãozinho (meaning little lion), a pirate ship cruise and find yourself a comfortable seating in the mid-deck or the shade of the aft deck. You will be accompanied by a multilingual guide speaking English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.

Cruise westward along the cliffs and sandy beaches of San Rafael, Castelo and Praia da Gale. You will pass through the fisherman’s villages of Armacao de Pera, the Rockchapel Senhora da Rocha and arrive at the beaches of Marina and Benagil. Enjoy the scenery and you will have some free time for fishing, a visit to the caves or taking a swim. You can enjoy a variety of drinks at the Pirate Bar (cost not included).

After exploring the beaches and enjoying sea views, the cruise returns to the Marina of Albufeira. The tour ends at Albufeira Marina.
