Overview

Soak in your spectacular surrounds on a 2-day cruise to Halong Bay, aboard a traditional junk boat, with visits to hidden caves and charming fishing villages. Sail among thousands of small islets, swim and kayak in the emerald waters as you experience the beauty and scenery of this magical place. There are fun activities galore with the most mouthwatering fares to send your taste buds into a tizzy! Travel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, experience the magnificence of nature and enjoy a leisurely cruise that is sure to be the highlight of your Vietnam sojourn!

Itinerary

Your day starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi. Enjoy a scenic drive to Tuan Chau Marina pier from where you will be transferred by tender to the Gray Line Halong cruise boat for check-in and a refreshing welcome drink. The cruise kicks off with a sumptuous lunch as you head to Vung Vieng Floating Fishing village. Once there, you can either go exploring on rowing bamboo boats or by kayaking by yourself. Sail past the floating houses of 65 families, a floating school & the floating information centre, not a sight you see every day!

Once back to the cruise, head to Drum cave, where you can enjoy swimming around the boat or just relaxing on the sundeck as you soak in some sun. The sunset is not to be missed and makes for a truly breathtaking spectacle. And there’s more to come. Enjoy a live cooking demonstration on the sundeck by skilled chefs and learn to rustle up regional delicacies like fresh fried spring rolls with mix fish-sauce. This will be followed by a lavish dinner buffet of barbequed seafood under the starry sky. Experience the surreal beauty of the Ha Long Bay after the sun sets, as you enjoy other fun activities like film entertainment, board and card games, squid fishing, and karaoke singing.

Enjoy a breathtakingly beautiful dawn on the sundeck, followed by a Tai Chi class to get your energy up. After a hearty breakfast with coffee, tea and baked delicacies on board, visit the beautiful (Sung sot) cave , a cave that was originally chanced upon by the French in 1901 and has been accessible to tourists since 1936. Once back on the cruise, it’s time to check out of your cabin and spend some quality time on the sundeck or in the dining room, taking in the wonderful views of the bay. The cruise ends with a farewell brunch buffet. You will disembark at Tuan Chau Marina and then be dropped off to your hotel in Hanoi late in the afternoon.
