Discover the many windmills, beautiful Dutch polders, and authentic villages on the Kagerplassen during the unique 1-hour Windmill Cruise by Rederij van Hulst. We depart from the beautiful town of Warmond on the Kagerplassen, not far from Leiden and the world-famous Keukenhof.
Step aboard our comfortable cruise boat and let yourself be carried along the historic windmills that adorn the idyllic Dutch polder landscape. During our unique Windmill Cruise experience, you will witness the rich history of the Kagerplassen, surrounded by lush green nature, rippling water, and... many windmills. As the sails of the authentic windmills gracefully turn, it seems as if time stands still. The enchanting atmosphere of the water and the centuries-old mills create an unforgettable journey back in time.
Admire the many working windmills during our 1-hour Windmill Cruise. They are important for draining the polders, which can be as low as 5 meters below sea level. Our experienced captains and comprehensive audio guide will share fascinating stories about the windmills, the landscape, and the history of reclaiming large parts of our country.
