    To see some great sights in the city hop on hop off is the best option , Audio guide in many languages on the bus helps a lot about giving information about the attraction.

Romance all the way: There’s no better way to get around and explore, and bring some romance into your trip than a boat tour. A cruise at night is perfect to capture the sparkling lights on shore, even a visit and a swim at the Blue Lagoon can spark that romance. Malta has plenty of choices for you.

Take it all in the cool: Malta can be hot during the peak summer month of August. So, if you’re not a friend of the heat, then head during the spring and autumn months. So, May, September and October. It’s still warm, but not as much so as those summer days.

Days out exploring: A boat tour is a great way to explore the island’s coastline, and you’ll get some great views of places to explore. Gozo and Comino islands among them. That will then include the Blue Lagoon. Back in Valetta, you have St Paul’s Cathedral, the Mdina gate and dungeons are also worth venturing to. Plenty to keep you occupied.


• You won’t have this trouble on the boats, but onshore you’ll find that they drive on the left-hand side of the road. One of the legacies of British rule that one.

• Malta is a beautiful setting for a holiday, it’s also a fabulous setting for film and TV makers. Gladiator and World War Z are among those that have been filmed here. Also, the ever-popular Game of Thrones series was filmed here.

• Lace and glass blowing are old traditional crafts on the island. So be sure to look out for workshops where you can see and buy their crafts.
