Overview

Explore the wonders of the Amazon Jungle on an action-packed stay in the remotely located Juma Lodge, authentically designed to help you reconnect with nature. Located 130 kms south of Manaus, this is the perfect place to enjoy a host of activities like seeing the Meeting of the Waters, motorized canoe tour, piranha fishing, dolphin observation, wildlife spotting, bird watching, and trekking in the jungle.

Itinerary

Day 1

Depart from Manaus at 8am in the morning and reach Juma Lodge at 11am (From CEASA Harbor, you’ll cross the river to Careiro village by speedboat, passing the meeting of the waters. There will be a 1-hour van ride to a place called Paraná do Mamori from where you will take another speed boat to the lodge).

Enjoy lunch before going for a canoe tour for piranha fishing and dolphin observation. After dinner, go searching for the indigenous caiman species of alligators by canoe, with your guide in tow. Our guide will point out large and small caimans and you can take some great pictures. You will then return to your lodge.

Day 2
Bask in the beauty of a gorgeous sunrise, observe the diverse range of birds, and return to the lodge for breakfast before embarking on an action-packed ecological jungle trek. Learn all about the medicinal plants, survival techniques and the indigenous wildlife like spiders, and different kind of monkeys, sloths etc. (We can’t guarantee wildlife-spotting, but as the Juma lake is a protected area, the chances of seeing wildlife are very good).
After lunch, you will leave for Manaus and arrive in the city in the evening.
