Overview

A combination tour, enjoy a drive up to Tagaytay for a panoramic view of Taal Lake and Volcano, then have time enough to enjoy the highlights of Manila city. Begin the day with a drive to the picturesque city of Tagaytay, a popular tourist destination because of its cool climate and picturesque scenery. Sit back, relax and enjoy a guided tour which starts with a drive up to the Philippines’ Second Summer Capital to Tagaytay for a day filled with incredible sights and experiences.

Tagaytay is part of the province of Cavite, located on a ridge 2,200 feet above sea level which offers a panoramic view of Taal Lake and Volcano, known for being the smallest active volcano in the world! Make your first stop at the awe-inspiring vista from atop the Palace in the Sky, the abandoned “rest house” of the former President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Marcos, where you can find breathtaking views of the lake and volcano.

The tour includes a stop for a brief lunch in one of the local restaurants where you can enjoy sumptuous Philippine cuisine and delicacies popular to the region. After that, prepare for the trip back to Metro Manila which starts with a visit to the American Cemetery and Memorial, followed by a drive through Makati City, known as the financial center of the Philippines.

Continue onward via the scenic Roxas Boulevard, one of the best locations to see the beautiful Manila Bay sunset. Then pass through Luneta Park (also called Rizal Park), one of the most significant tourist spots located in the heart of Manila. A monument enshrining the remains of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal is the park's symbolic focal point.

Next, head to Intramuros, known as the “Walled City” inside which lie relics of the Spanish Conquistadors era! Visit San Agustin Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the four Phillippine churches constructed during the Spanish colonial period. End at Fort Santiago, one of the oldest Hispanic stone fortresses in the Philippines. This is where Dr. Jose Rizal spent his last days in incarceration and wrote his famous “Mi Último Adiós” (My Last Farewell).
