Boat Tours - Adelaide

Adelaide is found along South Australia’s vibrant and beautiful coastline, so what better way to relax and take it all in than on a boat cruise? Up the river, along the coastline, see the marine life, oh, it’s a highlight. There are some fabulous boat tour options available, head up the Murray River for lunch, or take a ferry and visit Kangaroo Island for a, get close to nature, moment. Adelaide cruises take you away from the churches, and the 20-minute city, and let you relax and explore.

    Great value, great tour!

We were very happy with the whole experience of the Highlights Tour. The trip was excellent as we could only spend one day on the Island and we would not have been able to see all of what we did on our own. We had a good group of people on our bus and everyone got along well. Our guide was really enthusiastic and informative and it made the whole trip really enjoyable as we spent the time discussing a whole range of topics. So good to have a guide that has been doing it for a number of years as you get so much insight to the area your travelling. We had so much fun! I would defiantly recommend this tour.

    Excellent tour

We had a wonderful day on Kangaroo Island. Every thing went like clockwork from the time we were picked at our hotel until we were dropped back. Les the bus driver on the Island tour was excellent and extremely knowledgeable about the Islands history.

Experience Boat Tours in Adelaide

Best things to do: You’ll find that the city of Adelaide has a range of activities to keep you keen. As well as the city’s museums and art galleries, you should make sure to visit these attractions, starting with the Adelaide Oval, not only one of the city’s major landmarks but home to some top-class sports. Head for the beach at Henley or Glenelg. Both are close to the centre. Head out for some wine tasting, well you are in the wine production region. Finally, Adelaide Zoo is worth a look, there are over 2000 animals to spot.

Spring and Fall: Along with your boat tour and exploring the city you’ll want to make sure that conditions are right to get around. March to May and September to November. It’s at these times that the rainfall is rare, and the daytime temperatures are comfortable. Perfect for exploring.

A little laidback touring: A cruise down the Murray River is well worth experiencing. Firstly, you climb aboard the luxury vessel, and then you settle back and relax as you cruise away. You’ll be served tea and enjoy a buffet lunch, taking in the landscape and Adelaide’s attractions and highlights. You could even call it romantic.

• Adelaide is known as the 20-minute city, as you can get to any point in the city within 20 minutes! So, why not test it out, and see if it’s true. Oh, and do let us know.

• Another nickname it has is the city of churches. Take a look around, and you’ll see a church on every corner. Some date back many years, while others are reasonably new. It doesn’t really matter about their age; they certainly add to the atmosphere.

• The botanical gardens are as exotic and interesting to explore as you’d expect. They also house the largest and oldest glasshouses in the Southern hemisphere. Well worth checking out.
